Where it all began
Ouen opened its doors in 2017 with a simple idea: to create a studio that takes Pilates seriously without taking itself too seriously.
We wanted a space that felt calm, welcoming and personal. Somewhere you're known by name, where classes stay small enough for real attention, and where Pilates is taught as the intelligent, transformative method it is, not just a workout or a trend.
Years on, that's still exactly who we are.

Vanessa started as a client of Ouen when it opened in 2017. Already a yoga teacher, she completed her BASI Comprehensive Pilates training in 2019 before becoming studio owner in 2024. Quality underpins her approach, with ongoing training and mentoring for herself and the team central to the care Ouen offers. She loves getting to know the people she teaches, understanding what they find difficult and when they’re ready for more challenge. Through clear, manageable progressions, she helps clients build strong foundations and confidence in what they can do. Alongside group classes, she specialises in one-to-one work with people managing injuries, chronic pain or more complex movement needs. Expect thoughtful teaching, warmth and plenty of energy.

Having graduated with a Bachelor of Education in Physical Education and Science, Ciara started her movement career teaching Physical Education
Ciara was a client and friend of Ouen Pilates for several years. After becoming a mum to her little boy, she decided to reconsider her 22 year career in Physical Education and become a Pilates Instructor, completing the extensive training Comprehensive course with BASI, undertaking the required teaching and observation hours with Ouen Pilates.
Ciara’s style is precise, detailed with challenging progressions

Cayley’s first reformer experience was with Ouen Pilates and was inspired to undertake her Pilates training thereafter.
Cayley’s classes are energised and uplifting, focusing on the foundational Pilates principles, believing even the most fundamental movement can feel different each time you practice if the mind and body are fully connected!

Imo was first introduced to Pilates while training as a professional dancer at Laine Theatre Arts, where an inspiring instructor sparked a lifelong love for the practice. In fact, during her third-year awards, Imo was voted “most likely to become a Pilates instructor” - a prediction that proved entirely true!
Imo believes the best part of teaching is witnessing clients’ “wins” those moments of progress, strength, and confidence that make Pilates so transformative.
